YouTube took the lead in Nielsen’s February 2025 Media Distributor Gauge, gaining 2% over January to capture 11.6% of time spent watching TV across the month. This marks YouTube’s best share of TV to date, and is the second time the pure-play streamer has topped the Media Distributor Gauge since Nielsen began tracking in November 2023. 

The flagship NBCUniversal Telemundo Station Group broadcast TV station, serving Spanish-speaking audiences across South Florida, has a new VP of News and Content. She rises from Director of Multiplatform Content and Streaming for this station and its NBC O&O sibling.

The Alliance for Women in Media Foundation has unveiled this year's winners of the 50th Annual Gracie Awards, celebrating five decades of amplifying women’s voices, stories, and achievements in media. The winners will be honored at the Gracie Awards Gala on May 20 at the Beverly Wilshire, in Beverly Hills, Calif., to be hosted by podcaster Fortune Feimster.

Canadian broadcast transmission technology company Nautel is partnering up with the Steve Newberry-helmed Quu Inc., to help further the latter's efforts to deploy rich visual content for radio. And, the simplification of bringing this technology to fruition will be at the crux of its 2025 NAB Show presentations.
